By creating an account or using KATANA Apps ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
KATANA Apps provides a digital pilot logbook application ("KA Pilot Logbook") that allows aviators to record flight time, manage aircraft records, track certificates and currency, and generate PDF reports for FAA, military, and airline purposes.
The Service is provided as-is for personal logbook record keeping. It is your responsibility to verify that all data entered and reports generated are accurate and meet the requirements of any authority, employer, or institution to which you submit them.
Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you select.
A 14-day free trial is available for new accounts. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, a subscription is required to continue accessing your data.
You own your logbook data. We do not claim any ownership over flight records, documents, or other content you enter into the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. KATANA Apps does not verify the accuracy of logbook entries and makes no representations about their compliance with FAA, military, or airline requirements.
We strongly recommend exporting regular backups of your data using the JSON export feature. In the event of account deletion or service termination, we cannot guarantee data recovery.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
KATANA Apps is a logbook tool. It is not a substitute for official FAA records, military flight records, or any legally mandated documentation. Always maintain official records through the appropriate channels.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KATANA APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR ERRORS IN GENERATED REPORTS.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms.
Upon termination, your data will be retained for 90 days to allow for export, after which it may be permanently deleted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings, except where prohibited by law.
